D for Delight

Just an FYI. Progress in the family gathering at D is as follows:

• Most everyone has now secured a way to get to Disneyland and we will convene at the hotel.
• Hotel reservations have been made with (2) double rooms that will hold us all. It is at the Desert Inn and Suites hotel which is right across the street from the entrance. Their website.

Now just a few things of note:

1. Remember to look into the price and location of the airport shuttle to get you to and from the airport to save yourselves some hassle.
2. Plan for plenty of time at the airport with the extra security, and if you're doing carry-on only, remember that you are limited on what you can bring on. Go here for an updated list of approved/nonapproved items.
3. The total hotel reservation came to $1166.10 after tax. Let's try and keep our eyes peeled for deals, price slashes, last minute room filler deals, etc. If you see anything that would beat that price we can cancel our current reservation up to two days in advanced without penalty.
4. Disneyland tickets still need to be purchased, and even while it is doubtful that the price will drop even a dollar, we will hold off a little longer before taking that plunge.
